Hue bulb blinking: pairing or reset

Regular pulsing after a mains blip — the bulb is often in Zigbee pairing or needs a reset.

Steps

  1. If you meant to add it: start “Add light” in the Hue app.
  2. If it was already installed: power cycle reset (off 5 s, on 5 s — repeat per Hue instructions for your model).
  3. Avoid non-“Works with Hue” dimmers.
  4. Re-pair to the Bridge if it disappeared.
  5. Still blinking on a plain lampholder: possible hardware fault.
