Govee strip overheating
Strip feels hot, colour yellows at ends, or adhesive lifts — often power supply or installation issue.
Steps
- Lower max brightness in Govee Home.
- Mount in an aluminium profile for heat spread.
- Do not exceed length per power supply rating.
- Unwind bundled loops that trap heat.
- Replace PSU if it also runs hot abnormally.
