Govee strip overheating

Strip feels hot, colour yellows at ends, or adhesive lifts — often power supply or installation issue.

Steps

Lower max brightness in Govee Home.
Mount in an aluminium profile for heat spread.
Do not exceed length per power supply rating.
Unwind bundled loops that trap heat.
Replace PSU if it also runs hot abnormally.
